How to shoot weddings?

I've just been offered to shoot a wedding and was wondering what the best way to go about doing it is. What kind of mic should I use? Anything else I need to keep in mind? I know it's a broad question but I don't want to be prepared as possible since I'm getting paid :)

First off, shoot alot, cut alot. It's better to have to much to work with than not enough. Second, try to get some sort of seperate mic somewhere near the bride and groom, preferably to a different recording device, like a DAT or voice recorder or even a cheap second camera. Third, if you can try to interview people during the reception, the wedding couple loves to hear from their guests. In fact, try to ask the bride and groom on tape how everything went.

That's my advice. I don't think you posted this in the right section, but oh well.
