How to set f-stop, shutter??

Hey everyone!

I am new to the GH2 and had been using the Canon EOS 10D for still photography before.

Anyway, I am having trouble figuring out how to set the f-stop and shutter speed for still photography and video. I think I found the settings in the M mode (which I assume is manual??), but it won't let me adjust the f-stop and shutter speed below and above certain numbers. Also, what is the ISO...is that the shutter speed in this camera?

Thanks a lot!

A mode is aperture, and aperture is f-stop, so switch over to A mode and set it. Read up on f-stop, you cant just set it to any number you want, if that was the case you would have only one lens on the market with f-0 to f-99 range.

Same goes for shutter speed (S mode), GH2 can hold exposure from 60 seconds to 1/4000 second.

ISO is sensor sensitivity, but hey, how did you get that camera without even knowing what ISO is? :D

JPUSC,

I've written an article on Manual exposure with the GH2. Once you understand f stop (aperture), shutter speeds, and ISO from reading up a bit, send me a PM with an email address I can send that article to you.

The GH2 is a tad more complex to configure but this article covers that as simply and methodical as possible.

They keep all these super-secret secrets in the GH2 manual.
