how to safely create foaming at the mouth?

yup, tastes awful but safe and simple

Oh yeah, I had the "Good Fortune" to be chosen to play the "Rabid Zombie Dude" for a charity haunted house we put together in college, and we did the vinegar/baking soda trick. It works great... but is horrid tasting. After the first couple of nights I got tired of that and went to just gargling soda pop in my mouth and spewing it out... It did not look anywhere near convincing... but for a volunteer gig, shaaaaa!

alka seltzer

I would be careful with Alka Seltzer. The regular formulation of Alka Seltzer contains aspirin, which is not tolerated by everyone. While it may not be swallowed, aspirin could be absorbed through the oral mucosa, which is the soft tissue of the mouth. There is an Alka Seltzer formulation that does not have asprin, and it is used just as an antacid. That may be one way to go. I would talk to a pharmacist about which formulation would be the safest.

I think tooth paste and food dye might be fun to experiment with
(brush teeth to foam, add green and blue food dye, gargle)

This has always made me foam at the mouth! :love4:

Nice one Zaza.

Without Zaz to help, I've found the V-BS not only tastes terrible, it can be hard to control. Foaming nostrils can seriously dampen your talent's enthusiasm for multiple takes.

Plain old toothpaste can foam well and it even comes in mint . . .
