How to reduce rendering and burning times.

I have reduced long rendering times to under 6 minutes for over 5000 frames and burning times from 5.5 hours to less that 90 minutes for a 140 minute Jazz Concert onto a Dual-layer DVD.

Here's how: 1. In your NVIDIA control panel, change Preference to emphasize Performance rather than Video Quality.

2. NVIDIA Drivers for your card should be updated.

I use Adobe Premiere Elements 7 AVCHD in a Sony Vaio laptop - AW220J with 4GB of RAM.

Hope this info is of use.

Cheers,
John:)

Thanks. I feel the need to ask the obvious question at this point... by changing the preference away from Video Quality, did your video quality suffer as a result?

No, the video quality reverts to excellent quality when you burn your project. Only in the computer Time or Scene Line and the browser panels is any degradation noticeable. Clearly, you are devoting more computer processing power to the project than to the viewing of it.
