How to plug a 3.5mm cable from a Rode Video Mic into my HPX170?

Hi guys,

My friend has a RODE Video Mic that he uses with his 7D. I'm looking to borrow it for an upcoming shoot, but it has a 3.5mm jack.

Is there a way to plug this into my HPX170, or do I need to get a 3.5mm to XLR converter cable.

Or if you are handy with an iron, you can do it yourself. Easier to buy, cheaper to make.
