how to play Panasonic P2 AVC-Intra 50 mxf files

I have Panasonic P2 AVC-Intra 50 mxf files, everybody who can tell me how to play it? I use vlc and many other media player but it both cannot capable playing AVC-I MXF files. I want to use media software player not hardware. thanks you
 
Download Panasonic's P2 Viewer program, and the AVC-Intra decoding software (you can find both of them on panasonic's site, just google for it).
 
I have downloaded P2 Viewer and AVC-Intra decoding software, but it looks like it cannot play P2 AVC-Intra 50 mxf files, it only accepts the input of P2 card, my mxf is is stored on the local computer disk, I am really new for this, can you help me? thank you
 
You have to establish a "virtual P2 card" that points to the contents folder on your hard disk. There is a manual for P2 Viewer in PDF format that is installed where P2 Viewer was installed, which will tell you what you need to know.

I have set "virtual P2 card" that points to the contents folder on my disk, and after using F5 reflash P2 viewer cannot list any mxf file, I wonder P2 viewer really can play mxf files? thank you reply.
 
firstly I have do downloaded and installed P2 driver and viewer, then I have also installed AVC-Intra Decoder. I think all [SIZE=-1]installation should be ok, I set [/SIZE]virtual P2 card that points d:\files\mxf, and I keep one avc-intra 50 mxf in this directory, but the p2 viewer cannot list this mxf file in its gui, this is why? Thank you again

My mxf is not created by P2 Panasonic hardware equipment, it's just normal mxf which contains AVC-Intra 50 video and come from other company.

Well that explains it. You need to have the entire directory structure -- the CONTENTS directory, with all the associated subdirectories (VIDEO, AUDIO, CLIP, ICON, PROXY, etc). P2 Viewer will only work with a complete Contents directory.

If you are on Windows, you can probably play that MXF file just by double-clicking it, or dragging it into Windows Media Player.
 
I am in window but window media player cannot play mxf, as you said P2 viewer worked at specified CONTENTS directory, it will read the xml from clip directory and load correlative mxf to P2 viewer, every mxf in video or audio directories just contains one video or audio defined optom format.

my mxf is defined OPa1 format. so looks p2 viewer cannot capable playing it, so could you have else way to play it?

An OPA1 AVC-Intra MXF file?? Where did that come from?

I would suggest trying it in Adobe Premiere Pro CS4.2 or CS5. That might be able to play it, but ... I don't know. That's weird.
 
yes, it come from someone else program ,I want to validate whether or not this OPA1 AVC-Intra mxf is correct, so maybe the only way is to play it, i am very confused for how to play this, I will try Adobe Premiere Pro CS4.2 or CS5, really thank you

Or Avid Media Composer 5. It might be able to play it.

P2 Viewer only supports Op-Atom. Premiere and Avid support both Op-Atom and Op-A1, so maybe they will be able to do it. Good luck.
