I have a Kona card and AJA breakout box.

How do I analog out from the breakout to my analog VTR?

The VTR has S-Video in and audion ins and outs.

Which Kona do you have? What footage are you working with?

IF HD, then in the Kona Control Panel, set the secondary output to be a downconvert 525i and set it to your COMPOSITE cable. Then the cable should connect to the deck. The deck has a composite in, right? If not, you'll need a composite to S-video adapter.

If SD, then set secondary output to Composite (no need to downconvert) and then the same thing.

AJA Kbox
Kona 2 card
DV 720x480 from FCP

I have no idea which pluggy thing is the Composite on the kbox! haha. There's a section on the kbox that reads "Video Monitor Out" and under that are 3 RF connfections that read Y/G/CVBS Pb/B/Y Pr/R/C
So, I'll need to go from the composite to the S-Video in the Television? I looked for hours on end online and AJA website, no directions for this I could find.

You might need a special cable... ProMax sells one. If indeed this is the case. But I don't know.

Sorry -- I'll go hide again...

Slinking off....

Okay cool. Now I know what to plug into (Y/G/CVBS).
What's an RGB though?

Do I need an RGB to S-Video?

Does audio go in the TV by S-Video or do I need to audio out from the Kbox to the audio in the TV? There's RCA audio outs on the Kbox.

BNC to S-Video? Hmmm...haven't seen that. BNC to RCA, then RCA to S-Video...

Audio needs to come from the RCA outs on the KBox
