How to mount Bogen 3066 on Bogen 3068 tripod?

I purchased a Bogen 3066 head and a Bogen 3068 tripod on eBay.

Can someone tell me how to mount the 3066 head on the 3068 tripod???

the head has like a "bowl" on the bottom which would fit nicely on tripods with that opening, but the 3068 has a flat mount.

is there someone that can guide me in how to disassemble this ball from the head so i can mount it flat on the tripod?

is there a special tool i need? or maybe an additional part i need to get?

When I get home tonight, I'll check out my setup and let you know. I have a 3066 and a 3068 setup. I'll snap a few photos for ya...
 
On most of the bogen heads that are attached to a removable bowl it is simple.

You need a skinny flathead screw-driver and a set of pliers.

1. set the pan to max pressure and lock it down.
2. unscrew the 3 set screws in the bottom of the ball (after you take locking handle off the ball.)
3. use the pliers on the nut and scre lefty-loosey.
4. reset the the head on the flat tripod, rotate the head clockwise till tight by HAND only,
5. flip tripod upside down
6. screw 3 set screws back in till they can't go no more.

You are done.
