How to make Interval/One Shot Selectable!?!

I have already posted this in the Techincal section, but have received no response, so I am hoping to find answers by posting here.
Does anyone know how to select the Interval & One Shot Time funtions in the Recording Setup Menu? I've read the section in manual that covers this a few times, (pgs 47, 98 & 106), but I can't seem to be able to select the option as it stays blue in the menu. Even the 'Recording Function' Option under 'Recording Setup' Stays the unselectable Blue! How do I make this selectable? It's driving me nuts! I've tried setting all different shooting modes for the camera, and yet, still nothing. The HVX manual says nothing concerning this, and yet I can't access the funtions. I have the camera set to P2 recording and 720p. What else do I need to do?
The manual is pretty unclear on any other particular setting you may need. But I should just be able to do this in 720/24p mode, right?
Also, is interval recording the method to use to record time-lapse of the sun setting, moon rising, ie longer periods of duration recording?
I would love to get this working, any solutions?

You need to be in Video Cam mode, not Film Cam mode.

Oops, I just remembered, you also need to be in 720p60 or 1080i mode, I believe. I don't have the cam in front of me, so that's what I recall from memory.

thanks holyzoo! got it working! I can't wait to get use Barry Book to replace referring to unexplanatory manual. What settings would you recommend to capture time-lapse of the sun setting through the interval recording?

60i/p in whatever resolution.
