Any tips on how to make the two cameras look as similar as possible?
Fs700 as a main cam with 7Q
a7s as a b-cam
Im thinking when time isn't your friend and you have a deadline it would helpful to hear any thoughts on the matter.

Yeah thats my thought, but Ive heard some reports that sais otherwise. Oh well, I guess im better off then with the 5D m3 none the less :)
But if someone do have a input regarding the matter im all ears :)

In my experience so far, though labelled the same, Slog2 on the a7s and fs700 are not the same (when exposing the same). It's pretty strange.

I would shoot both in S-log and match them in post. There isn't a better way. I am sure the difference between the log models is not significant, not as significant as the difference between S-log and 5D for example!

either way I dont think I will get away without trying to match them up in post but the closer they look from start the less I need to worry. Esp when Im under a tight deadline :) none the less, thx for the input!

I did a side by side wih the 7Q FS700 and A7s S-Log 2 and they looked really similar. You should have no problems.

Colors are different, You'll need to match for both of those. As for Dynamic range and tonality, they will match.

If you go Cine4 on both they will match out of camera.

Thank you Demistate, Im trying at this very moment actually with cine4, somehow they really different.. Im fiddling with the settings to see if I can get closer!

I think it's easier to use a certain profile first and put on individual matching profiles on each camera in post.
Have you tried filmconvert?
They have profiles for the FS700 and A7s.

As I don't have the two cameras I can't try that out, but it should match better.

Could someone try slog2, 709 matrix, minus 7 saturation on a7s, and bump exposure up on a7s for the ISO diffderences? I tried this and it seems close. Might not help if trying to use 4k on fs700 with 7q as it might ignore settings once it sees raw input, but might work for in cam recording match.
