How to introduce intraframe blur? (when filming higher then 1/50)

In daylight i need to carry some ND filters, to make sure that i maintain 1/50 shutter speed. Otherwise if anything moves fast in the frame, it will look choppy.

However, thinking theoretically, there shouldn't be any problem with introducing subject blur in post, if it so happens that you did use higher shutter speed. Does anyone know any tools for this?

The most obvious use apart from neglecting ND filters would also be stabilization.

If the video is a bit jerky, the less blur there is, the better stabilization quality will be. Add blur afterwards to smooth everything out.

this seems to me like one of those cases where "fix it in post" is a bad idea - just use some ND filters - the only case wher I'd consider shooting with faster shutter and then having to add motion blur in post would be for greenscreen work (where green-ish contours would be a bigger problem than excessive strobing)

You can add motion blur fairly easy in After Effects.

Easily, yes. Good quality? That's another question.

The short answer is that if you want the organic look of a 1/50 or 1/48 shutter, it's pretty easy to shoot it that way. It's a little hard to add that in post. It's a bit harder to make it look good in post.

So why would you want to do it in post if you can easily do it in camera?

But if you do want to do it in post, take a look at Twixtor.
