How to inspect a used FS100?

I apologize for opening a new thread but since on Monday or Tuesday I'll be holding the FS100 in my hand for the first time, I'd like to ask what to look for when buying an used FS100?

Is there anything special to check? What about sensor? Dead pixels, etc? Is that all visable when it turns on or does it have to heat up (run for 10 or more minutes)?

Thanks!

Make sure to check for marks of being dropped, that is the thing that can really cause some problems.

Make sure the HDMI output is working (HDMI is a terrible standard)

The sensor should show any issues upon start-up AFAIK.

Those are really the things I can think of. Thankfully with these new solid state cameras there are so many less things to go wrong (tape head and hours, haha)

If you leave the body cap on and if it has firmware 2 installed you can zoom in x8 and go over the whole image on the LCD screen to check there are no white or coloured dots, do a black balance and check again as bb seems to inconsistently mask problems that then crop up on a second bb. I'd then suggest adding a lens and closing down the aperture and raising gain (but not until it's too noisy) to get a good exposure and put a white page in front of the lens set out of focus and check for black/ grey spots of dirt on the sensor.

Ask what lenses were used on it, and what adapters. The lens mount is very fragile and becomes "loose" when heavy lenses were used without support. Id make sure the front 4 screws on the mount are tight.
