are avid and final cut the only systems that can go directly from dvx200 to the hard disk? I have a dv storm with edius 3. will it work? i'd like to skip the whole p2 thing.
Canopus has a version of Edius that can work with DVCPRO-HD. I have never been able to keep the various versions of Canopus software straight in my head, so I don't know which one to tell you to look at, but yes there is a Canopus DVCPRO-HD option. I think they sell a separate codec pack that includes DV50 and DV100.
