How to get what I've recorded to my PC.

I have a Panasonic DVX100B. I have a Firewire port, and a Firewire cord on my PC, etc. So how I do I upload footage that I've recorded? I've only been able to plug my camera in to the computer and record footage off my computer using software like Vegas. But I want to upload things I've already recorded. How I do I do this? I know it's possible, I've seen footage of people skateboarding captured with the DVX100B, and I assume they're not in the skatepark with their camera plugged in to their laptop in the middle of a skatepark skating-bowl lol. So how do I upload previously recorded footage on my PC? Thanks.

It is a capture process NOT a copy & paste/transfer file process (which I think you're describing as upload). You must play the tape and the computer will make an avi file from the footage. Which David has told you how to do.

So I just go in Vegas, press Capture, then just play back the tape on the camera? Ok, that makes sense
