How to get something stickied?

There have been a few threads that people have been asking for awhile to be stickied. I can find no official way to make that happen and it seems like the moderator is not following those threads so how does one go about it?

PM a mod with the link you think should be stickied. We try to follow a lot of things but we necesserily have to rely on you guys to tell us when something goes very wrong or very right just due to the volume of traffic.

So just send a link and say why you think it should be stickied. Just a "Hey did you see this? Probably warrants a sticky" kind of thing.

pretty much the stuff that gets a sticky is usually pretty good for everyone to read so cough it up, ... curious minds want to know :2vrolijk_08:
what just got a sticky?:lipsrseal

Personally, after you have posted the new thread, I would press the
report.gif
button on your post and send a message to the mods. asking them to "sticky" the thread.

Works for me most times on the forums I am on.

Except that the text under the "report" window specifies it's only to be used for problematic posts.
