How to get signal from dvx100 with usb ?

Hi !
I have ready bought a new cable (usb) . How can I get now the output signal (digital) from camera ? Do I need special soft ? THX !

The DVX has no USB port. What you want is FireWire (1394).

Then, you need software which can read the footage. You can do it with Windows Movie Maker, but I'd suggest at least basic DV editing software.
