How to get rid of noise? Avid or AE

I color-corrected some HVX DVCPROHD 1080i50 and 720p25 material and now the low light shots are very noisy.

How do I get rid of it?
I remember there is some plugin/filter/program that solves this problem, but I cant remember the name/where to get it/how to use it.

I work with mainly with Avid MC 4 and sometimes with After Effects.

The built-in in Avid is as good, and free. I have the program that Neat Video derived from (and consumerized) and I haven't touched it since going to Avid. I'd imagine After Effects is just as good.

Which built in do you mean?
I have Avid MC 4.05 and BCC6. Do you mean BCC de-noise or is there a specific Avid FX filter?

I tried BCC6 de-noise, it´s OK but not really satisfying. Is there something better?

Which program did neat video derive from, whats the name, where can I get it?

I've never found a stock plug-in that sorted the noise in my footage.

I used the Neat Video plug-in recently and was blown away by it. The noise just goes away.

With a little bit of tweaking, there's nothing quite as good as After Effects CS5's Remove Grain. For handling Chroma noise, FFT3dfilter is the best, by far. (Avisynth) So, for best results, FFT3dfilter + Remove Grain. I have not used the Avid Denoise but I am sure it is great.

Neat Video is a decent, easy alternative though I have only used the demo. By the way, which program did it derive from?

I apologize. I had something COMPLETELY different in mind in regards to Neat Video and denoising. I was thinking of a completely different product.
