How to get crisp text in FCP. Help requested.

Hello,

I've been using FCP for what seems like ages and most of the time I create text it looks a little jaggy, even when exporting uncompressed. I've even used LiveType and had the results look mediocre.
What settings can I tweak to get clean crisp text?

DVX-100b., no adapter, Power Mac, Final Cut Pro, nihilism.
 
This is a common problem when working with DV. Your computer monitor makes it look much worse. Take a look at the footage on a video monitor and you will see it's not too bad.
 
Sometimes it has to do with rendering it within the timeline.When i export text from FCP using the "Quicktime Movie" export option it appears jagged and jittery.

Try exporting your video using Quicktime Conversion under the Export Menu, and use the quicktime movie preset. Play around with the settings--it should come out looking better.
