How to fix rolling shutter problems?

I was shooting a anniversary concert with people dancing. There were a couple of photographers taking pictures with flash. I can easily see the rolling shutter problems in the footage. I've read somewhere in this forum that there are ways/tricks to fix this. Will someone tell me how they fix this rolling shutter in post?

Now, is this for After Effects, Avid, or is it stand alone software? Can you explain the procedure in more details?

this won't FIX rolling shutter issues though... it will camouflage issues with strobes or flashes (to a certain degree), that appear on rolling shutter footage, but it won't fix it. Fixing it is quite hard depending ont the shot, and usually demands a reasonably good understanding of compositing etc.

Ususally, shooting in an environent with flashes or strobes requieres a different (non rolling shutter) camera, unless you want to waste conciderable time in post.

Same goes for other rolling shutter issues like wobble and skew.

Thanks, chagchag, I found that it's quite tedious trying to fix those rolling shutter problems.

Why not just remove the offending frame, and replace with the next good frame. I've done that with digital glitches.

That's exactly what I did last night just to test how it looks. Well, for those frames that there is no major motion, I can hardly tell with one or two frames removed. However, for any major motion, removing those two or three frames does caught your eyes.

Two or three frames would be a problem. I just meant for one frame. I've noticed that on a lot of the footage I've seen online it's just been the one frame affected.
