GH2 how to find out film mode after recording video on GH2?

is there a way to see which film mode (ie. standard b&w, dynamic b&w, etc.) was used to record a video after it has been already been recorded on a GH2?

i'm wondering about both when it's still on the card in the camera, as well as with .mts files that were copied off the card to a hard drive.

thanks in advance!

Nope, not that I've found. Even the pictures that have EXF data attached don't tell you as far as I can tell.

The only way I can think of would be to add that info by voice onto the audio track while starting the recording. I usually "announce": "Audio recording, camera rolling, scene and take #, and either "Action" or "Start"" as I start the camera and audio recorder. I usually synch on the word "Action" or "start" if doing double system sound.

This would require doing a quick check of what you had the camera set to just before pressing the record button.

Or that info could be added to the "slate" held in front of the camera as the recording is started.

Do what Bruce suggested. We use a $5 dry erase board for slating, and a wave over the lens after good takes.

thanks for the suggestion. it's one I actually plan to use on future shoots, but I'm wondering more about existing videos/files and if there's a way to see what film mode was used when they were recorded.

anyone have any ideas for those?

thanks again,

The GH2 does not embed the kind of metadata you're looking for when it records a video file - sorry!
