Hi there.
Firstly, great forum. Very informative.

And here is my case.

I work mostly on vfx and post production, but have about NO information on recurding equipment. Decided to have my own camera, and well... Most of the people I know, offered me EX3

Here is the thing:
I want to shoot with 35mm DOF, how can I achieve this ?
I need the cheapest solution (and the products with price ranges) and the oprimal solution (again, products and avarage price ranges)
[with and without SLR lenses]

Well... this is it for now.

Ah, and one very little question --- can HVR-V1 shoot with 35mm dof ?

research on this forum for about 5 minutes and i'm sure you'll find the answers to all of your questions and then some :)

I was in a similar situation a couple of months ago. As Mitch suggests you should spend some time looking at the manufacturers' sites. I would first start with Phillip Bloom's site/blog and posts. He has also done a promo video review of the EX3 which spends some time introducing the Letus. This is a good place to start. All of the adapters have their own look and technical quirks. The Zacuto site is a usability nightmare and is designed to get you to spend gobs of money. Their own branded products are top notch but given you don't want to spend money and are doing research I would steer away from it until you have an understanding of the 35mm adapter scene.

Hi there,

We, have to P+S mini35 adapter that we use on HVX-200, we're trying to search through the net if we could use it on Sony EX3.. And we've come up with PRO35 adapter by P+S technik.
We also found Sony EX1 with mini 35 adapter... and they say it work just fine..
Is any one here uses Sony EX3 with P+S mini 35 adapter?
Please let me know if mini 35 is good, cuz we don't wanna spent another dime for PRO35 adapter... thanks...
