How to do the focus in red?

Hi freinds
Can someone explain how to focus using focus in red. An explaination for a beginner. I have ordered Af100 Book but it will be a while till I get it( I am in asia) . The manual doen't help much in this regard.
Thanks.

I don't have the AF100, but on the FS100, that is called the 'peaking' function. On the FS100, you go into the menu and choose which color you want the 'in focus' stuff to appear outlined in (which would be where you would select red) and then you just push the 'peaking' button on the outside of the camera body. I would bet, that if you look in the menu system you will find a peaking function.

The default should be your user 1 button. A red box will go around the frame which lets you know it is on and then whenever something is in focus it with have the red highlight.

Down load the AF100 manual but..

There is a specific Focus in Red action . We have it set on User 1 button.

The view finder gets a red frame and the focus detail shows as "red" outlines.

Ok so I focus on an object and and push user 1 button. For a moment screen fades out to black and then comes back . no red outline or red highlights on the target...

I love the focus in red option. I also have the eye-piece set to black and white and that really helps as it makes the red stand out.
