I have a handful of DVX-100's (both A&B) and keep having the same 2 issues with multiple cameras; a PSD NG error, which I've figured out how to fix myself; and a backfocus problem. It seems as though I'm going to continue to have these type of problems in the future, so I'm interested in learning how to fix the backfocus myself. Is this something that can be addressed electronically with with an EVF connector board? If not, what is the best way to calibrate it manually? What tools will I need? Do I need a collimator set? What is the procedure? As you can see I have lots of questions. If there's anyone out there qualified to answer these, I'd love to hear from you.
Thanks!
John
P.S.
I've already been told "you can't do it yourself, you need to take it to a service center" and while I'd usually agree, the repair prices are more than I can get approved (especially taking into account the reduced value of these aging cameras). I'd rather give it a shot and maybe sacrifice a camera to learning than to have them sit broken and useless on my bench for another 6 months.
Thanks!
