How do you guys convert your RAW footage to Prores to work best with Filmconvert?

My workflow which doesnt give me great results:

Davinci -> Prores422
(No corrections at this stage other than select CD SLOG2 LUT?)

Drop ProresFiles in editing program (FCPX or Prem.CC) - Use Filmconvert F55 or GenericSrgb profile

--> This doesnt really lead to great looking files...

I am a fan of processing DNG sequences with Adobe Camera Raw via After Effects. Do first pass corrections in ACR, especially highlight recovery and adjust your roll off curve. Adjust your floor and shadow detail. Render out the composition via Media Encoder to an edit ready format.

Occasionally ACR may have a problem, but with those shots you can use Resolve. Not a fan of canned LUTs, try developing your own.

It is a time consuming workflow, but the images are dramatically better than debaying with Resolve and relying on canned LUTs.

When turnaround is an issue- that's what recording Prores is for.

Thanks! Do you still use Filmconvert on your rendered files then - if yes with what settings?
Interesting workflow, though time-consuming.

There is unfortunately no 50p Prores yet so I have to go the RAW route... :(

EDIT: In AfterEffects I only see the first frame of the Sequence for correction --> ?

I don't use Film Convert. I work as a DP but have had to get involved with some post workflow to generate a look on a dime. Sometimes we settle on a certain ISO and use grain/noise as part of the look.
