how to convert project

I have a project we shot on I believe 24p with an hvx. when they imported the footage they imported it into a 59.94 project. I don't know why. our goal was to have a 24 project. would the proper way to import this be to remove pulldown and then import? is there anyway to convert this? I don't have access to original p2 card files.

If the footage truly is 24p it will not play back in your 59.94 project. Avid can mix resolutions but NOT FRAME RATES.

Try creating a new 24p project. Click the Open bin button. And open bins from the 59.94 project. If they playback in your 24p project then just copy the media from one bin to another.

if you shot 24P, and not 24PN then avid will only recognize it in s 59.94 project because 24p uses pulldown on to fake the look of 24p. it's not giving you a true 24 frames. at 24PN, ur shooting 24 frames a second for real, and that's what you get. in the case u shot normal 24p, i wouldn't be too concerned with it, the look of it is still good.
