How to check hours of use?

Hi, I have a DVX100 and just needed to know how to check the hours of use..

Go to the last menu (Other Features) and scroll all the way down to the bottom of the last page.

Thanks Horsefilms, always wanted to know this. Does playback also counts towards hours of use or just recording... because when editing I use my dvx to capture footage in my NLE, is that a NO NO...?

Yep, playback also counts. Actually, anytime the tape heads are engaged with the tape, the hours are ticking.
