HI
I recorded footage at 30 frames per second Progressive on a Panasonic DVx-100. I have set my timeline at 30 frames per second but do I switch the frame rate settings in the Capture and Device Control Presets to 30 frames per second instead of the 29.97 as well??? Since my playback device is obvioulsy automoaticaly at 29.97 I presume I keep that at 29.97. I don't understand how the conversion works though? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Ben

Hi, you don't need to convert anything. 30p really is 29.97p and DV by definition is always interlaced so what you get by shooting "30p" is 29.97 with two equal fields. Just keep your capture settings the same but remember to switch your sequence settings to progressive, otherwise your NLE will render fields when you apply motion effects.
