How To Be A Filmmaker!!!

Good tips for first timers. Especially good point about cinematography. However I feel that it needed to be mentioned to first shoot a master, then go for other shots which helps make it look professional. Also that sound, not just on set, but post as well, is very very important.

But I suppose for people making their first movies it might be too much. :D

One more thing is I wouldn't recommend shooting in an "abandoned warehouse" without getting permission first. Usually the building isn't so abandon and you can get arrested or badly injured.

nice. you stressed some good points. I probably would have cut out your book advertising and inserted more about lighting and audio. Could have also mentioned the need for a crew even if it's just a 2 man crew.

all in all it was pretty good.

not bad... it was very basic rundown... just to add i think the best book on start to finish film making is From Reel To Deal a great book that covers every aspect of film making.

And another piece of advice i would add for anyone whom is planning to write and direct.

Read as many screenplays as possible before you begin it will give you alot of good insight on what to do.

But overall i thought you covered the bases pretty well nice job.
