How to: Adding Info over Color Bars

On my ENG camera at work I can switch to color bars and I also have my name, the date and whatever other info on the screen superimposed over the color bars that is recorded to tape. Is there a way to do that with the DVX? Like maybe adding that User Bit info on screen over color bars?

I don't think so... could be wrong but I don't remember any option like that.

true...but if I was shooting some footage then passing my tape off to an editor it would be nice to able to put some sort of slate on the screen at the head of the tape.

You could use a real slate to provide editor with whatever info you wanted...the world has not gone totally digital yet... I hope :
