How to achieve best slo-motion

So we're trying to capture close ups of a sandwich falling onto a plate, and tonight's testing was with limited lighting... and it was shot 720p/60p and shutter 1/250th, which was sort of grainy so 1/120th might've been more appropriate.

But we have access to an Arri kit to flood it with a lot more light, thus allowing the shutter to go to 1/500th - 1/1000th, but is there anything more I can do? better settings I don't know about?

Maybe you can show us a clip of it so we can gauge how much "better" it could(n't) be? What do you not like about the clip?

My suggestion is whatever lights you are using, make sure it hits the sandwich soft. Lots of light, but soft. Lots of diffusion.

Is this part of a larger clip, or more like a golden arches commercial with a burger gently hitting the plate?

Are you thinking of bringing it into after effects?
