How to access footage from hard drive.

I'm unable to import p2 footage from hard drive into fcp 5.04. We shot a 3 camera live concert and downloading footage into powerbook then onto a lacie 800 gig firewire drive. Now when I try to import files into fcp I am unable to get them. Any ideas?
I tried importing files and folders with no luck. It shows the mxf files are there.

Did you copy the whole folder including the text files?
