How stable are EOS mounted lenses on AF100?

I have a set of Contax Zeiss lenses adapted to EOS mount. I use them on my GH1 by using a eBay Rainbow EOS to m4/3 adapter.

We all know the GH1's plastic body flexes like hell when even a medium-size lens is mounted. When I pull focus on the lens the whole image shifts up and down. There is also some give between the eBay mount adapter and the GH1 body that the whole lens would rotate slightly during focus pull. So I come up with a hose clamp + 1/4" screw reinforcement solution on the eBay adapter. Now I get pretty rock solid focus pulls.

Do I need that kind of lens adapter reinforcement for the AF100? This question is specific to EOS mount because there isn't any quality German-made m4/3 to EOS adapter I am aware of. (Perhaps the kippon adapter with built-in iris is a rock solid choice?)

I am reluctant to DIY my own hose clamp reinforcement for lens adapter, because it would be a pain to switch lens mount when I am out in the field.

Thx

I have had good luck with the $29.00 Amazon EF to MTF adapter, very solid no wiggle at all. I am only using it temporarily.

I am waiting for the Birger mount, otherwise I would get the MTF version, their products are very good.

Rather than using two cheap adapters, "C/Y to EF to EF to M4/3" which will introduce slop into your focus pulls, try using something like the Kipon C/Y to M4/3 adapter which will give you a snug mount without any slop in your focus pulls.

All the Best!
