How should I shoot this?

I am getting ready to shoot a pilot for a children's educational show. It will be shot with our DVX-100. It will be for DVD release, or for TV release. What would you advise I shoot in? 24P? 30P? One more note. It will all be shot on green screen. Thanks for the help.

It is geared toward elementary aged kids. It's a history show. Our first show is going to be themed with the Apollo 11 mission to the moon.

Hmm....30P might work better for that situation. I don't think it will effect the keying, whatever frame rate you choose. But going 24P on a children's show might be a little overkill. What kind of "look" are you going for?

Just going for a clean look, nothing fancy. It just has to look like your average kids show, Bill Nye, or whatever.

I would shoot 30p. Like ovjamaica said, 24P might not work for this type of show. I would also think that 30p might actually help with the keying.

I would try to match my footage up with the green screen footage, unless you're using photos for backgrounds. Then you can do whatever.

Thanks guys! I will go ahead with shooting it in 30P then. Thanks for the help! (any other info regarding this would be totally welcome as well)

Could someone please explain what 30p's plusses and minuses are. And how that relates to keying. I am new to the camera and figured that the 30p would only serve to be used for moderate slow mo per Barry Green's book. Educate me please. :)
