How often do you find things you weren't looking for?

I just ordered a bunch of cables from Trew Audio and B&H for an ever expanding sound bag.

Today I was looking for an extra NP1 cup that I knew was around here somewhere. By the time I found the NP1 cup I also found over half the cables that I ordered, but didn't need. :cheesy:


You know what else I ordered? A new soldering station... I kinda' forgot that I used to make all this stuff myself... and after ordering (sadly, many duplicates)... I realize why.

All. The. Time.

Usually, I end up finding what I previously and unsuccessfully wanted to find when on the search for something else (which I will, consequently, be unable to find). I searched thoroughly for my original PTLE 6.x manuals and software a few weeks ago and eventually gave up. Last week, I went to clear a couple of boxes out of our storage unit in order to find a couple of other books I needed. I didn't find the books, but guess what I did find? I also found my old summer camp chord book from 1994, and a CD that I'd been missing for quite some time.

I always end up finding things that I forgot I had.

I still have the cable you made for me. I love it, because not only is it awesome, but nobody has one like it. It makes it really tough for someone to "mistake" it for one of theirs. :beer:
