How much weight can top shoe handle?

I'm going to be rigging my GH2 as a b-roll cam and Redrock sells a handle that can attach directly tot he top shoe of the GH2... but with adding a mattebox, followfocus, baseplate etc... to the cam, would that be too much WEIGHT hanging off of the hot shoe? How much weight that can little metal shoe handle anyway before risking damage?

If it's anything like the strap lugs i would say use it for flash and mic mounts only. I certainly wouldn't use it to attach a handle on my GH1. Why not use a handle system that attaches to the tripod mount or a cage type system. That handle pictured is a lot of leverage.

Given the rod holes on that handle I think it is meant to be used in conjunction with a baseplate with something attaching between the base rods and handle rods to make a very stable and rigid system. Not familiar with the redrock support system, but I'm sure fully built it would look really cool.

The Canon has a tungsten body, Gh1/2 plastic. Looks like it is completely unbalanced and awkward in the pics. A balanced cage would be better.
