Hey guys, I currently have the T2i and I rarely practice with it, much less make anything official with it, because I absolutely hate the quality and texture it creates; I actually like how things look in the 'Crop Mode' much better because the aliasing doesn't muddy things up as badly. Now, I've seen Nikon vs. Canon tests that prove the clarity of Nikon's video mode is better than the Canon's, and it also helps that the Nikon lenses are better at lower prices/apertures and I feel like Nikon's selection is better suited for me. (Also, the local rental store has a Nikon mount 85mn 1.4 Zeiss for $25 a day, can't beat that.)
But in all honesty, I want to stick with Canon because they are who I'm familiar with, and feature wise, I'd pick the 60D over the NikonD7000, and I'm not considering the GH2 because the interlaced and hack business. But if the quality is much better in video mode, (and is it?) would it be a good choice to switch to the Nikon? I just hate the muddy, fringy texture of Canon's movie mode, and it's not the lenses I'm using.
