How Many People Still Buy DVX's?

I am needing to upgrade to HD now, for some specific projects, and I have been trying to sell my DVX. Is $1000 too high of an asking price for the camera, two batteries, a fisheye, and firestore? I am hoping to get at LEAST $1000 total for everything, whether I sell it separately or together. For the broadcast standards of what I am submitting to, I want to shoot in DVCPRO HD, so I am hoping for a NEW HVX or HPX. Does anyone know of a good place to try to sell my DVX? I posted here and in the marketplace, and no one replied. Some offers on the hard drive for $200, but I think that is too low. Any thoughts?

I would do EBAY. What usually happens there, if you don't have a "buy it now" option, is that everybody waits until the last day and then things move fast. At your asking price you should be beating just about everybody there. I don't think $1000 is ENOUGH for all those items! You should start out a bit higher and go OBO. Good luck and hope you get that HVX!

People expect deals with kits. You'll get more selling the cam, lens, and firestore separately. You could easily get six for the cam, two for the lens, and two for the drive.

The lens will sell for 300-300 seprerate. the fire stone will sell for 300-500 separate. Depending on hours you should be able to get 500-1000 for the dvx and batts. if its a B you should be able to get 1000 with under 1000 hours. I;d list it all separate on Ebay with no reserve and auction style starting at half your expected value. Also list witht he bold and better pictures and such. An extra 8 bucks on listing will get you a hunderads in closing price. From my experience ebay will get yout he best price although i do recommend putting a link to your ebay listing int he market place here.
