How many Kennys do we have here ?

I hope I'm not a Kenny. Never been to film school, but I definitely know how to get along with people who are working with me. The guy's an idiot. To be a director is more than just pointing a camera. It's learning the craft of working well with others, it's a business, make no mistakes about it.

As a DP, I've worked with a few "Kenny" directors and I must say, nothing is more frustrating than a director that doesn't know what he is doing. Having a vision is one thing, but not knowing proper terminology, shot progression, not being clear with direction, and just looking like you don't know what you are doing on a set is just plain bad form. It has nothing to do with going to film school, it has to do with wanting to learn how to be a film maker, learning how to communicate. If you havn't been on a professional set then I suggest you volunteer, PA, read, research and learn what it means to be a director. This guy was just thrown in way over his head and if it wasn't for the reality show there is no way he would ever be on a professional shoot.
