How many hours???

how do I find out how many hours are on the heads of the DVX 100?
where in the menu do I see that?

Go to your menu, and i think its the last one. OR the second last, I don't have my DVX with me.

Whatever one it is, it is at the VERY bottom in that list.

Yeah, go to menu, and then go to the last option: "Other Functions" I think. Then scroll all the way down to the bottom.

It doesn't actually tell you how many hours are on the heads, its just how many hours the camera has been on for with a tape inside, including when the camera isn't even recording.

But, unless the camera is in Standby mode, the heads are engaged with the tape, so you're truly adding hours to the tape heads. The counter is accurate.
