How many hours on a camera is too much to buy used?

Looking to buy a used DVX and some that i've found are around the 200 hour mark. Is this a lot or no? How many hours do these things usually last?

if it has been well cared for, 200 hours is not a lot, you should be able to go about 800-1000 hours before the heads need to be replaced.

Make sure they aren't using the dvx as a tape deck either, that wears on the heads too.

the DVX manual said 2000 hours before changing the head.

I use to have a pd170 with 1200 hours and it still went on working.
