How many hours is too much?

At how many hours to the dvx's start to deteriorate? (Burn't pixles...) Is there a certain ammount of hours till the dvx needs to be serviced?
...I apologise if this has been asked before...

According to the Panasonic manual...it is 1000 hrs for the heads. Servicing....ummmmm...I think depends on how u took care of ur cam.

DVX's are pretty rugged, I think under 500 hours and it stil should be running very strong, unless it was abused or neglected. Most people treat thier DVX's better than thier family so I wouldn't be too concerned about a bad dvx. In fact I haven't heard of one case were a DVX has a burnt out pixel, at least not yet. That is more of a Canon problem.
