How many days did you shoot?
Do you think you could have done it faster?
Do you think you should have taken longer?
How did you know how many days to schedule for?
Not a feature, but an 80 minute web series (total of all episodes) shot all at once.
We took 14 days
It was WAAAAYYYY too short. We had 16+ hour days.
We divided it by numbers of pages of script per day. Hollywood shoots about 2-3 pages a day. Indy features shoot about 5-6 pages a day. After reading filmaking 101 they tried to convince me that I could do 10-12 pages a day. I wasn't convinced and pushed it down to 8 pages a day, but even that was ridiculous.
I recommend to take longer. Make sure you get those shots and performances. Don't rush through. Luckily we had two cameras, but two cameras, though useful, got problematic with lighting at times and even slowed us down.
