How long to get rebate battery/card?

I'm really impressed with that cool slidey case. Looks pretty snazzy, it's still on my desk from the other day and I keep fiddling with it
 
"YOUR REBATE REQUEST WAS POSTMARKED AFTER THE ALLOWED DATE. THIS DISQUALIFIES YOU FOR THE REBATE OFFER."

A day too late. Son of a *****.
 
Got my card. Had the same thing as lee EVEN AFTER it being in the allowed date. Called in and they confirmed it was fine. I was like weird...... Showed up 2 weeks later. Took 3 weeks total.
 
Called again - still on back order with no time estimates. I told her to put me at the top of the list :P
 
Batteries have been on backorder from Panasonic for quite some time...we are getting ours roughly in the week of July 20th (supposedly) *cross fingers* we have about 2-4 HMC150 customers waiting on these long 4 hour batteries still that we have to ship these to
 
Still waiting. I ordered two 150s in JANUARY and sent in the rebates. Panasonic is as unethical as JR.com.

Its late July! Called them again - nothing in.

ANYONE TAKE THE PANASONIC REBATE SURVEY? I let them know how I feel... then it ends with a PAGE CANNOT BE DISPLAYED... figures.

LoL - I might get a spit on battery then. But yes, soon it will resort to that. Thank God I got the IDX battery for the meantime. Although I can all ready name a few times we were shooting 3 cams and that the battery would have helped a lot.
 
I called Panasonic (866) 852-3590 again today. The battery is still on backorder. It has been 14 weeks since they processed my rebate request. The customer rep. told me to call back next week to check on the status.
 
Panasonic has seen to it that, unlike Sony, they are the ONLY manufacturer of batteries for the HMC150. When they aren't making them, it makes me wonder why. Nothing takes this long. I'm VERY SUSPICIOUS why they are refusing to honor the rebates.

Are they going bankrupt?
Are they discontinuing the camera?
Are they defective batteries with some issue they can't solve?
If people are able to buy these batteries, are they only on backorder to their rebate obligations?

I feel they are not being honest with us.

Got a response!!!

"The battery is in stock and I allocate every month ahead of sales. You should see it soon."

Good news... although I don't know exactly what that means...
