GH4 How large a file should a UHD frame grab be?

shooting in MOV on GH4 in UHD - I understand that each frame should essentially be an 8mp still image. but when I do a frame grab, the jpg file is only about 500kb in size. is that about right, or should it be larger? is it the MOV format that is compressing it so much? I think an 8mp DSLR probably makes jpg image files of perhaps 2-2.5mb - correct?
 
Frame grabs will not depend on the compression used in the video, but on the compression chosen for the exported frame. (I.E. JPEGs will be smaller than PNGs, which will be smaller than TIFFs, of the exact same frame.)
 
Size will depend on the complexity of the image grab. Lots of sky and fewer colors will produce small files.
