GH4 How is the rolling shutter on the GH4?

WWJD, to answer you question, I do not see much of a change in rolling shutter from 30fps to 24fps. The way the camera reads the sensor is altered between 4k, 1080p (normal rates) and the 1080p VFR 96fps. I am curious if any future firmware updates will improve the sensor readout, or if Panasonic has truly maxed out the potential of the current setup... Only time will tell!

I received my gh4 late today so I did a quick test. Handheld, UHD with the 12-35mm 2.8 lens I filmed my kids playing outside I had no problem avoiding rolling shutter. I'm confident I can use this camera in 4k for my documentary work and I tend to shoot a lot handheld.

I filmed on a train today with 11-16 tokina and speed booster and no rolling shutter issues when wide like that.

Truth is I'm getting more and more fond of the camera all the time. Great images, but the thing it does best is make me want to shoot and shoot and shoot.

Was that in 4k? I'm hoping it's not too bad. I'll probably just rent it and run my own tests. Here's to hoping it holds up.
