I was only able to use a HVX camera for about an hour so far but I saw a fair amount of video noise in the shadow areas of the picture. Just wondering if this same noise is seen in the SD video files. Just wondering how the 1/3" chip handles the lower rez images.
Since I have a PC and haven't been able to rent P2 cards yet, all I've done is taken componant out and shot artwork and masks in my office with a buddy, who will remain nameless.
We looked closely at my hi def monitor and the noise is so minor that I'm sure Magic bullet would clean it up if you have the time to render it.
We think, and correct me if I'm wrong, good lighing would minimize the noise level.
But MAN! I'm stepping up from a 6 year old GL-1 with 1/4 inch chips! It's like going from crayon drawings on the wall to Michelangelo at the Medici Chapel (not quite Sistine Chapel -- but who's complaining!!!?).
