How is he achieving this effect?

[Rylan Zolinski]

I am sure a few of you will recognize this guy:

I was wondering how he achieves the quick cuts with him talking?

[Noiz2]

He is just cutting out the dead air. Straight cuts.

[David Jimerson]

Yeah, that's pretty straightforward.

[Rylan Zolinski]

As in cutting out every time he pauses?

[Pookie]

Yes.

A straight cut.

How is this confusing?

[Rylan Zolinski]

Yes.

A straight cut.

How is this confusing?

I have no idea. I guess I overanalyzed it.

[Hawk Teflon]

:::eyes shifting back and forth:::

Actually, you know what ... it's pretty tough. Shoot me that footage, and I'll cut if for you with that effect at $150/hr.

[Jawa Ex Machina]

Don't listen to Hawk. He'll rip you off.

Everyone knows you need an interocitor to shoot that type of footage.
I can sell you some DIY blueprints for one if you want. You'll get a great deal for only $499.99 if you buy today.

[David Jimerson]

OK, now we need a photo of your forehead.

[Jawa Ex Machina]

OK, now we need a photo of your forehead.

I took this photo while listening to Mozart, who is one of your composers.
But I'm not an alien.

[Billy Pilgrim]

He did it with a flux capacitor, of course.
