Any idea how the quality of the video is compared to the Canon Vixia HFS100?
Some say 150 has a film look to it, or a softness. But can you change the setting and get that real crisp true to life HD footage as well? Like you see on nature programs. I think the Canon Vixia has a great clear crisp image.
Some clients really like that sharp HD footage to view on their HD TV. I have seen the film look of the 150, and that is also good. Hope it is possible to have both with this camera.
I like autofocus , and heard the 150 is not to great, can someone comment on that. I am used to face detection on the Canon Vixia. I can work with anything though. Is there spot auto-focus. Like on a DSLR, so if I shoot a deer with branches around it, my center is the focus point?
I see the price dropping on this model, is there a reason? 150 upgrade or new version coming?
What is a B-stock model?
Is setting up the audio levels pretty easy if i am using external mics?
The only other model that compares to this is the Canon XH A1S. The Canon gets more attention out there in articles. I don't need DV. And they say the 150 works well in lower light. The A1s has a nicer zoom.
