How happy is everyone here that the new FCP supports native AVC HD editing? I just about popped a bone dog when I read that.
 
Is not a native support, native means drag and drop on the timeline... you have to transcode the files to ProRes LT,HQ,422,4444,Proxy or AIC (apple intermediate codec)
 
Yeah... we're all bummed about it where I work. There are people here that won't use the camera because of the lack of native support for the HMC150 footage. We're even wondering if we should even bother upgrading to this latest Final Cut iteration...
That being said, it isn't that big of a deal to log/transfer the footage, and the results are great. It is still way faster than capturing. But some people are just hard to convince!

*UPDATE*
I just got informed that my edit station will be updated to the latest version of Final Cut- amazing how things can turn on a dime around here.
