How good is the AUDIO PREAMP in the FS700?

Hey guys, I bought my FS700 just 2 months ago and I still learning a lot.
When I was using my Canon 7d and need to record audio I had a Juiced Link (Riggy-Assist RA333) so I could get cleaner audio.
I wonder how better is the FS700 audio than the 7d technically speaking.
I made some tests and can see is better, but in terms of specifications, how is it?
I found that the 6d (for example) record the audio as 16-bit, 48KHz, 1,536 Kbps Linear PCM, what about the FS700?
Do I need a Juiced Link for the FS700? Does it bring less noisier sound?

Thanks and sorry about my english. :D

The FS700 preamps are fine- no preamp needed.
Sound Devices preamps sound better and have a higher quality limiter, though for typical use the stock FS700 is good enough.

Thanks jcs!
Do you know, or anyone else knows what is the difference between the dslr's and the FS700? I mean, is the compression type? Is the data rate? What makes — technically speaking — the FS700 sound better?
Thank you!!!

Well, you have the preamps and the Audio-to-Digital converter.
You can have two different preamps recording to the same converter and one will sound better than the other.
So the specs you talk about have nothing to do with anything really ;)

I'm not familiar with the 7D, but my guess is that they (and most DSLRs) have not so good analogue input, a bad preamp (mostly digital gain?), and a not too good converter.
I believe the FS700 have a better analogue path, a decent preamp, and better converter.

So even if they both record audio as the same 16bit, 48kHz, PCM, the FS700 would sound better.
It's like asking if two cameras look the same cause they both record to AVCHD.

Complicated, eh?
